3. Sources of information
We collect information directly from you when you browse, order, create an account, subscribe, submit a review or contact support. Some technical information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
We may also receive information from payment processors, ecommerce and hosting providers, carriers, fraud-prevention services, advertising or analytics partners, social platforms, marketplaces and publicly available sources, as permitted by law.
4. How we use personal information
We use information to:
- operate the website, account features and checkout;
- process payments, fulfil orders and provide tracking;
- handle returns, refunds, warranty claims and customer support;
- verify orders, prevent fraud and maintain security;
- personalise content and remember preferences;
- measure site performance and improve products and services;
- send transactional messages and, with the required permission, marketing;
- show or measure advertising where permitted;
- comply with tax, accounting, customs, legal and regulatory obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use personal information for materially different purposes without providing notice or obtaining consent where required.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, processing may rely on:
- Contract: to accept payment, deliver products and provide requested support;
- Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, customs, safety and regulatory records;
- Legitimate interests: to secure, operate and improve the store, prevent fraud and understand performance, balanced against your rights;
- Consent: for optional cookies, electronic marketing or other activities where consent is required; and
- Legal claims or vital interests: in limited circumstances recognised by law.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
8. Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing orders and support, maintaining warranty and transaction records, meeting tax or legal obligations, resolving disputes and preventing fraud.
Retention depends on record type, relationship, legal requirements and security needs. When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it, subject to backup and legal-hold procedures.
9. International data transfers
Gfive serves customers globally, so information may be processed in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different privacy laws.
Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms. Service providers may maintain their own approved transfer safeguards.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
You are responsible for protecting account credentials and devices. Contact us promptly if you believe an account or communication has been compromised.
11. Children's privacy
The website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16, or a higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for independent use of the store. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information should contact us.
12. Privacy rights
Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to:
- know whether and how we process your information;
- access or receive a copy of personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive portable data;
- withdraw consent and unsubscribe from marketing;
- opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising where applicable;
- appeal a denied request where local law provides that right; and
- complain to a privacy or data-protection authority.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
13. Notice for California residents
If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Gfive's processing, California residents may request to know, access, correct or delete covered personal information and may opt out of sale or sharing. They may also limit certain uses of sensitive personal information and exercise rights without unlawful discrimination.
The categories described in Section 2 are collected from the sources in Section 3, used for the purposes in Section 4 and disclosed to the provider categories in Section 6. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
To submit a request or opt out of applicable advertising-related sharing, email us with the subject "Privacy Request." We may need to verify identity and authority. An authorised agent may submit a request where permitted by law.
14. How to exercise your rights
Email service@gfivelife.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. State the right you wish to exercise and the country or region where you live.
We may request information reasonably needed to verify identity and protect your account. Do not email identity documents unless we specifically request them through a secure method. Some requests may be limited by legal exceptions, such as transaction, tax, security or legal-claim retention.
To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in the message. Transactional order and service messages may still be sent.
